Deputy PM: Russia can export 39.5 mln tns of wheat in 2022–2023

ST. PETERSBURG, Jun 16 (PRIME) -- Russia can export 50 million tonnes of grain and 39.5 million tonnes of wheat in the 2022–2023 agricultural year that lasts from July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko told reporters at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on Thursday.

“50 million tonnes, 39.5 million tonnes… The key receivers are Turkey, Egypt, South Africa and the Middle East, Saudi Arabia,” she said.

Abramchenko also said that fish is to become Russia’s core food exports in 2022.

“The key exports is fish products, we are number one in terms of fish. The pandemic has taught us to redirect our exports to other states and markets. But such redirection and logistic changes will lead to higher prices for end consumers,” she said.
